Before you start

Read the Installation Guide. It covers how to install on your specific device (iPad/iPhone via Safari, Windows via Chrome, etc.) and walks through first-time setup. Your invitation message includes the PDF — review it now if you haven't.

Plan a 7-day testing window. The app gives you a 7-day free trial that unlocks all features. Pick a week when you can actively try the app — ideally with real ORB scenarios you'd normally write by hand.

Connect to internet. Required only for the very first launch so the app can cache itself for offline use. After that, you can use it at sea with no connection.

Understand this is an entry guide, not the official ORB. The app helps you prepare correctly-formatted entries before writing them in the physical, IMO-approved Oil Record Book. The Master, Chief Engineer, and responsible officer remain solely responsible for actual entries.

How testing works

7-Day Free Trial

When you launch the app for the first time, you'll be prompted to accept the Terms & Disclaimer and then start your 7-day free trial. No license key is required for testing — just tap "Start 7-Day Trial" on the license screen and you'll have full access to all features for one week.

If you need more time to complete your testing, contact Ken directly and he'll extend your access.

Acknowledge before launching

I am a licensed seafarer or maritime professional invited to test this software. I have read the Installation Guide PDF (or will refer to it during setup). I understand this is a preparation assistant only and is NOT an official Oil Record Book. I, as the responsible officer, remain fully responsible for all entries written into the physical ORB. I agree to provide honest feedback to the developer and to use this software only for personal testing purposes during the trial period.
